Liaison Engineer
Job Overview
Summary
Coordinates activities to evaluate and resolve engineering related production problems encountered in assigned area of aircraft manufacturing facility by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:
- · Reviews production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to maintain current knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities in assigned area.
- · Coordinates with customer to investigate and resolve problems.
- · Confers with quality control, material, manufacturing, and other department personnel to provide technical support.
- · Interprets engineering drawings and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during manufacturing operations.
- · Investigates reports of defective, damaged, or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, equipment, or systems to determine nature and scope of problem.
- · Examines, measures, inspects, or tests defective part for conformance to engineering design drawings or blueprint specifications.
- · Consults with project engineers to obtain specialized information.
- · Evaluates findings to formulate corrective action plan and coordinates implementation of plan.
- · Maintains records or oversees recording of information by others to ensure engineering drawings and documents are current and that engineering related production problems and resolutions are documented.
- · Serves as member of material review board to determine disposition of defective or damaged parts.

- · Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- · Extensive experience in commercial aircraft interiors, with a focus on lavatory and galley systems.
- · Fluent in both Japanese and English, with exceptional communication skills in both languages.
- · Proven experience in liaison engineering roles, coordinating between design and manufacturing teams.
- · Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- · Utilize fluent Japanese language skills to bridge communication gaps and ensure accurate understanding between the US and Japanese teams.
- · Ability to read and interpret documents such a safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of employees of organization.
